We are Jaqueline and Luis, a visual artist and fashion designer creating together from our home in California.

The name Rocking Lucas was inspired by our dog, Lucas, who loved sitting and rocking in an old rocking chair that belonged to Luis’s father. That little image became more than a name. It came to represent what we wanted Rocking Lucas to be: something personal, made with affection, and connected to the memories and stories that make ordinary things meaningful.

Our work brings together illustration, design, craftsmanship, fashion and, above all, our love for dogs.

Rocking Lucas is home to original collections, each with a world of its own. Some are inspired by places and their heritage, others by nature, imagination, nostalgia, folklore and the wonderfully peculiar personalities of dogs.

Alongside our artwork and collections, we create thoughtfully designed goods for dogs and the people who love them, from apparel and accessories to grooming and everyday essentials.

Much of what you see begins right here at home: illustrated, designed, developed and created by us in small quantities. We believe the things we bring into our lives can be useful and beautiful, but they can also carry a little personality, memory and story.
